Pat Kabore hosted the public all day Earth Day for a drop in Workshop;
Indigo dying and unique pattern making for free or a small donation. The Boys and Girls Club
brought kids and participated along with some local Lowertown artists. Reports are that a good time was had by all. Thanks Pat for your doing an outstanding job on the community engagement aspect of your residency!

Pat Kaborie, April's artist in residence from Spartenburg, South Carolina, will be conducting an indigo dying workshop at Studio AIR on Earth Day, Friday April 22nd from 9am till 5pm.
This is a free "drop in" workshop, but donations are encouraged, and you will learn the traditional method of using natural indigo pigments to dye various fabrics.
Paducah Arts Alliance has been staying busy for the last 3 years. Artists from all over the US and around the world have visited Paducah and stayed in studio AIR, enriching the artistic community here. Our biggest goal this year is to keep that momentum going and be more visible while doing it.
We have a website used for residency information but we hope this Blog will be more of a living document to keep everyone abreast of our current activity.
Consider this your invitation to bookmark PAA and keep up with what we're doing ~
